A new set from the great RE: ANALOG we’re featuring on the site – He always brings some of the most soulful tracks and showcasing gems you might not have heard earlier. I teamed up with him and this is what he mentioned about this set.
Back to the beginning, I started sharing them in my bedroom. Then a new journey began. Regarding the vision, we hope that more people can learn about this vinyl-related lifestyle through RE: ANALOG. We are now positioning it as a multi-media creative platform. You will see us in the mountains of Da Lat, Vietnam, in the kitchen at home, on the streets of Beijing, beside the beach, etc…
For me, in a time when digital life is expanding rapidly, returning to physical objects, handling and touching them, and enjoying the present moment is what we hope to convey.
For music selection, most of it is quite eclectic with no fixed formula. Sometimes I seek balance, while other times I choose something different. But I do a lot of experimenting. If you look at my recordings, you’ll find countless short files where I’ve mixed and linked vinyl together many times, listening to see if it achieves the effect I want.
For our plans during this period, we are trying to invite guests to the RE: ANALOG show and hope to create a more “public” space for more people to participate. We also want to visit different DJs’ homes for interviews to connect with more people. These endeavors require more time for me to reflect, think, and act.
