I’ve been following Moose Dawa for years now, and every time he drops something new, it brings that same feeling of excitement and curiosity, knowing he’s put real thought and time into it.
Scrolling through Instagram early on, I caught some previews he shared—beautiful, carefully crafted sounds that instantly stood out.
I waited a few days after the release, holding off on pressing play because I wanted to be ready to sit down and really take it in—it felt important to experience the music fully – understanding this project held special meaning for him. Right from the first track, ‘In Your Eyes,’ he pulls listeners into a melodic journey that lets you drift away.
The concept behind the new album evolves around a perspective of trying to tell a story about distorted memories of a broken love-relationship. A journey through blurry memories with an attempt to find out if things actually were as you could remember it, or if it just was an illusion. Perhaps the outcome of finding out, could give you some kind of clarity of who you are as a person and what you need to find your peace at the very end.
The 8-track project is featured by the Swedish Grammy-nominated trombonist Ebba Åsman, with a vocal track from rapper Aidinity and co-production from UK-producer Psalm Trees. The album was released on all DSP’s on the 1st of November along with a limited 10” vinyl treatment set to 100 copies.
