From Es-K: I recently started taking bass lessons and my teacher told me to start learning some bass lines of songs I like. This isn’t exactly a “cover”, but I came up with it jamming along with the original beat and a live version by The Roots. When I decided to recreate it I quite honestly failed – despite how simple the track was.. but I’m digging what I came up with regardless.
I basically tried to use the bass as much as possible and tried to come up with variations to the original bass line while still following the general direction of the original beat. I’ll try to make this a weekly thing in between my lessons with whatever song I decide to start practicing and learning.
